How the schedule works
City Council meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
A closed session usually starts in the late afternoon; the
regular session begins at 6:30 p.m. The start time printed on the
agenda is the closed session, which is why the calendar above can show an
earlier hour than the meeting you want to attend.
Advisory bodies keep their own cadences — some monthly, some
quarterly, several irregular. Cancellations are common and Legistar records
them, so a meeting that disappears from this calendar was usually cancelled
rather than missed.
The Council does not meet every month of the year. Gaps in the summer are
normal and are visible above as an absence of scheduled meetings, not as an
announcement — the city does not publish a formal recess notice through
Legistar.
